How to install the Asphalt Crack Sealing Tape

1. Surface treatment

   (1) The dust and water on the adhering surface must be removed to keep the road surface dry and clean.

   (2) Cracks with a width of 5-19mm must be cleaned up and filled with sealant.

   (3) Cracks and subsidence areas with a width of 19-50mm must be cleaned up, filled with mortar, sealant or asphalt mixture and compacted to the existing height.

   (4) Cracks or pits with a width of more than 50mm must be cleaned up first, and then filled with mortar or hot asphalt mixture and compacted to the existing height.

   (5) For cracks and subsidence areas with different heights, leveling treatment must be carried out.

   (6) The protrusions on the bridge deck and road surface must be cleaned or treated to be level.

2. Environmental conditions

   (1)It should be used under the condition that the surface temperature is not less than 10℃.

   (2) If there is overlap during the laying process, the overlap length is 50mm.There cannot be more than two layers of overlap.

   (3) It is recommended to roll 2-3 times with a rubber wheel roller after laying the polymer asphalt anti-crack sticker.

   (4) Vehicles can pass after the laying is completed, but the interval from the laying of the upper layer should not exceed 24 hours.

3. Asphalt overlay

   (1) After the asphalt anti-crack sticker is correctly laid, it should be closely combined with the construction of the upper layer to avoid moisture and rain.

   (2) After laying the asphalt anti-crack stickers, you can spread sticky oil such as emulsified asphalt according to the construction specifications of the hot asphalt mixture.
